Mario Ceroli

Mario Ceroli (Castel Frentano, 1938) is an Italian sculptor and scene designer. Ceroli studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome under Leoncillo, Ettore Colla and Pericle Fazzini, he began his career realising ceramic sculptures, but his interest soon migrated towards Pop Art. Ceroli’s interest in different artistic disciplines led him to transcend the boundaries of art, and to explore how it interacts with other fields, such as architecture or theatre. He also realized stage sets for theater, cinema and television. Ceroli lives and works in Rome, where he also continues to work as a set designer.
