Monika Bravo

Colombian artist Monika Bravo creates multi-disciplinary work that explores emotional constructions of space. Bravo creates installations or situations that combine images, sound, industrial materials, and technology. She describes her practice in the following terms,“My artistic practice is used as a tool to decipher the laws that govern the world. With this inquiry, I create objects by incorporating still, moving images, sound, and interactivity to generate situations where I can materialize and communicate my emotional state.”


Monika Bravo’s work has been included in group and solo shows internationally, including Museo de arte Moderno, Barranquilla, Colombia, the 56th Venice Biennale, Site Santa Fe, New Mexico, Mana Contemporary, New Jersey, Brooklyn Museum, New York, The Kitchen, New York, International Center of Photography, New York, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and Tate Britain, London.
