Richard Pasquarelli

Richard Pasquarelli works amid traditions of American representational painting. His work explores the physical presence of psychological states of mind: the relationships between mind, matter and its manifestation in the world around us. Pasquarelli’s precise, hard-edged oils and watercolors are derived from thousands of photographs of his experiences and the settings he encounters. His compulsive photo taking is an important aspect of his ongoing research into the psychology of images and an integral part of his process of developing his images and ideas into paintings.

Pasquarelli’s paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the US and Europe including The Miami Art Museum, Miami, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York, The Chelsea Museum, New York, Jersey City Museum, New Jersey, and the Islip Art Museum, New York. His work has also recently been acquired by The World Trade Center Memorial Museum and hangs in many corporate, public and private collections throughout the world.
