Ridyas

José Ricardo Dias, Ridyas, was a designer, architect and plastic artist who met an early death at age 30 in São Paulo Brazil. He participated in the São Paulo XIV Bienal Internacional (1977), and in the First Latin American Biennial (1978).


His solo exhibitions include: Total Totem, Central Gallery (2019) - reassembly of the project for the 1st Latin American Biennial of São Paulo; and The Longing that Remained , Ateliê 397 (2017), both curated by Angel Calvo Ulloa. His group exhibitions include: New Acquisitions , Museum of Modern Art (MAM-SP, 2019), curated by Felipe Chaimovich; Maloca Maloca , (2018), curated by Alice Ricci, Angel Ulloa and Carolina Lamb; 1st Latin American Biennial of São Paulo, São Paulo Biennial, (1977); XIV International Biennial of São Paulo , São Paulo Biennial, (1978); and expoesia 1 (1973). Ridyas is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art São Paulo.
