Gutierrez's work appears in public collections at the Berkeley Art Museum in California; the Center for Contemporary Art in Athens, Greece; the New Museum of Art in New York City; and the Palazzo Forti in Verona, Italy. He has done residencies at Koganecho Bazaar in Yokohama, Japan; Centre de Residencia I Intercavi d'Artistes in Mallorca, Spain; Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan; and De Young Museum in San Francisco, California.
