Susumu Kamijo

Susumu Kamijo is a Brooklyn-based artist primarily working in pastel, oil pastel, and pencil media. Susumu received his MFA from the University of Washington in 2002, preceded by a BFA at the University of Oregon. His vivid, pop-esque works have been shown in galleries and fine art establishments around the world such as Massahiro Maki, Place Gallery, Marvin Gardens, Sotheby’s, and more. He is best known for his series of Poodle drawings, each featuring color block backgrounds and poodles composed of fine lines and cross-hatching techniques.
