Thomas Baldischwyler uses a variety of working styles and approaches depending on theme and context, including music, film, collage, reverse glass painting, installation and photography. References to historic-cultural incidents are meant to indicate an alternative comprehension of the subjective frameworks of written history. He has been repeatedly awarded, amongst others, with a residential scholarship of the Philipp- Otto-Runge-Stiftung and the sponsorship prize by Westfälischen Kunstverein Münster. His work has been exhibited in Berlin, Basel, London and Sydney and is regularly presented in Hamburg, where he currently lives.
