Yin-Ju Chen

Yin-Ju Chen’s primary medium is video, but her works also include photos, installations, and drawings. She has focused on the function of power in human society, nationalism, racism, totalitarianism, collective thinking, or collective (un)conscious. Her projects also engage in the relations between cosmos and human behaviour. Chen is particularly interested in the way that humans respond to signs and signals such as those generated through use of Tarot cards.

She has had solo exhibitions at IT PARK in Taipei City, Taiwan, Chi-Wen Gallery in Taipei City, and Blood Orange East in Berlin, among others. She has been involved in numerous group shows including venues and events such as e-flux in New York, NEoN Digital Arts Festival in Dundee, The Cube in Taipei City, and Asia Culture Center (ACC) in Gwangju.
