Zackary Drucker

Zackary Drucker received his MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. A self-described “limp-wristed, gender-queer, freaky, fierce, faggot-tranny-queen,” he makeswork that is primarily based in photography and deals with issues of gender identity and the representation of queer culture. For his MFA thesis show, titled “5 East 73rd Street” (2007), Drucker presented a series of still - life and portrait photographs made in the apartment of Mother Flawless Sabrina, a legendary drag queen, more informally known as “Jack,” who began performing in the late 1950s.
