Alexandra Stern

Deeply inspired by the loss of her grandparents, French artist Alexandra Stern abandoned a career in the menswear fashion industry to pursue a passion for art. Creating a cast of cartoon-like characters called the “AS,” Stern’s drawings represent “ghosts that fill her pictures with their feelings and shouts.” Working on canvas, as well as clay, acrylic, ink and pigment, her technique is precise and spontaneous incorporating a large range of colors.

Her work has been shown in several art fairs including Artshopping au Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, and Grand Marché d'art Contemporain à la Bastille, and exhibitions at Espace beaurepaire, Pairs and Galerie Perahia, Paris.
