Richard Vivenzio

Richard Vivenzio is a sculptor currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Vivenzio’s work explores space by creating channels with different materials, recently using rope and gravity to create large-scale sculptures. His work has been described as three-dimensional renderings that create a solid form, despite being composed of separate, continuous, linear planes of string and shadow.

Vivenzio has exhibited at The Newhouse Center of Contemporary Art, Usagi NY, and The Hole Gallery. His work has been included in the Haverstraw River Arts Festival, Flux Art Fair, and Pulse Art Fair, in Part of the Pulse Projects series. Additionally, his work has been published in Hyper Allergic, Art-Net, and The Gothamist, amongst others. Vivenzio owns and operates The Neverlands Art Space in Bushwick, Brooklyn, where he has curated events pertaining to performance art, installations, video screenings, poetry, and live music.
