    About The Work

Multimedia artist Asim Waqif collaborated with dancer and choreographer Rakesh MPS to create this poetic video, Tarq, as part of the Yellow Line Project, a dance film residency sponsored by New Delhi–based Gati Dance Forum. Challenged to investigate the intersection of dance and film within public space, Waqif created Tarq to highlight overlooked spaces in New Delhi: in the opening scene, a dancer twists, turns, and performs gymnastics within the confines of an rubble-filled abandon shaft.
