Bemberg Bovy

Bovy Bemberg is born from a collaboration between Romain Bovy, architect/designer and Philippe Bemberg, graphic/visual artist. After spending time abroad, they met in Paris in 2014 with a common desire to reinvent, explore, and surprise. This is when the idea of working on a collection of furniture and rare objects arose. The impulse? A will to play with the precarious lines between design, visual and contemporary art. The objective? Reclaim ancient craft “savoir-faire” and use it to answer today’s creative problematics. The result is an excessive, sharp, and playful body of work that transcends the specificity of a single field. Bovy Bemberg objects reach the precarious balance between wanting to be generic, yet ideal, poetic. A “graphic texture” at the border between an ultra narrative esthetic and a contemporary hallucination.
