Bryan Graf

Bryan Graf is known for his experimental approach to photographic materials, and subjects, resulting in a highly diverse body of work. Amorphous, kaleidoscopic shapes often permeate his images, where the occasional branch or flower can be discerned, however his work is not entirely abstract.  Scenes of nature, organic landscapes and the occasional self-portrait also round out Graf’s highly experimental body of work, which draws on themes of nostalgia, automatism and manual manipulation.

Graf has participated in solo exhibitions at ICA: Maine College of Art, Portland, ME, Yancey Richardson Gallery, New York and group exhibitions at Portland Museum of Art, Portland, Decordova Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, Philadelphia, PA, and Pelham Arts Center, Pelham, NY.
