    About The Work

This sculpture is part of a series Eleanor Aldrich created for her solo show "That Feeling When" at Channel to Channel gallery. This piece is a green hairbrush made with her usual mediums of silicone, enamel, and oil paint. In the bristles of the brush are strands of red silicone and enamel "hair". While at first glance this is a satire piece, it is important to recognize that the artist is using traditionally "masculine" mediums to replicate a "feminine" object.
