    About The Work

This glazed ceramic art duo by Eleanor Aldrich is a replica of two dish soap bottles and is part of an ongoing series of works molded from everyday objects. The bulbous forms take on a contemporary feel signaled partially by retaining the molded edges, yet have an animalistic quality or mysterious specificity that can seem totemic. There is an atavistic transformation from the plastic packaging of today to the older medium of clay and glaze.
