Francisco Ugarte

Francisco Ugarte’s work is supported by the field of architecture and above all the creative process. His proposals are generated from, and respond to, a deep focus on the environment. Using a variety of media including site-specific interventions, video, installation, sculpture and drawing, his work can be understood as a phenomenological exercise in which reality is comprehended through contemplation, perception, and the essence of things.

He has had solo exhibitions at Curro & Poncho Gallery in Guadalajara, Post Box Gallery in London, Inés Barrenechea Gallery in Madrid and Espacio Marte in Mexico City, among others. His work has been presented in group exhibitions at institutions such as Raúl Anguiano Museum of Art in Guadalajara, Júmex Museum in Mexico City and San Carlos Cultural Center in Mexico City.
