    About The Work

In this monotype with photo-etching print Radio Pudding (for Joe Brainard), Frank Moore presents the viewer with a decadent bowl of what appears to be noodles; in reality, a collection of pills, wires and symbolic objects, are included in this intricately set pudding. This juxtaposition of a benign dish with violent objects is presented in an ingeniously seductive manner, poignantly conveyed with Moore’s soft, decorative lines and colors. Beneath the image, a quote of text from writer Joe Brainard’s The Friendly Way reads, “I have a recipe I think is unusual called radio pudding.” This work was created in collaboration with the Estate Project, which works to ensure the legacy of artists that have died from AIDS.
