Frédéric Dumoulin

Frédéric Dumoulin creates mysterious monochrome paintings of mountains, people, and details of nature. Dumoulin's work is part of a continuous narrative that attempts to achieve visual silence through practice. Before starting a painting Dumoulin spends time mute in front of the canvas, he then lets his mood impact the composition. Dumoulin is influenced by spirituality, religion, and mans relation to nature as well as artists Peter Doig, Cezanne, and Morandi.

Frédéric Dumoulin’s work has been shown in group and solo shows in Belgium, including Chataîgneraie, Flemalle, MAMAC, Liège, Pingpong Gallery, Brussels, Island, Brussels, and Dauwens & Beernaert Gallery, Brussels.
