Harold Town

One of Harold Town's most noted attributes is his versatility and unpredictability. Throughout his career he oscillated between genres and styles, between dynamic color and black & white, between abstraction and figuration.

Town's breakout body of work were the "Single Autographic Prints" created during the mid-1950's. While there are certainly many common characteristics in these monotypes - there are plenty of variations, anomalies and beautiful experiments.
