    About The Work

Rock, Paper, Scissors is a response to the sculpture of Barbara Hepworth and to the particular experience of works that are sited in her garden at St. Ives. A series of 100 tiny paper collages, created on the pages of a found vintage pattern manual, explore ideas about materiality, journeying and space. Published in an edition of 100 copies, an artist’s book reassembles the original collage sequence, housed in a box that pays reference to Hepworth’s signature pierced forms.

This work has been shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize formally known as the Jerwood Drawing Prize. The 2020 Selection Panel comprised of Ian McKeever RA, Artist; Frances Morris, Director of Tate Modern; and Sophia Yadong Hao, Curator & Writer, University of Dundee.
