Irina Alimanestianu

Alimanestianu (American, b. 1957, Nyack, NY) was raised in New York, Switzerland, and France. She holds a BFA from New York University, an MBA from Columbia University, and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University.


In August 2020 Irina had a solo show at MM Fine Art in Southampton, New York. This past Fall her work was on view at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY in the triennial show “Artists Choose Artists”. She has been featured in shows such as “LA Current: 3 Generations of LA Artists”, at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, CA (1998), a solo show at Kravets/Wehby Gallery, New York, NY (1999), “3-D Painting” curated by David Pagel at the Peggy Phelps Gallery, Claremont, CA (2009), “Fix-It-Up Too SASSAS” at Blum and Poe Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2012) and “Continental Drift” curated by Shana Nys Dambrot at CMay Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2015). She currently works between New York and Los Angeles.
