Isaac Lin

Isaac Tin Wei Lin explores the realm where representation and buzzing abstraction meet. He invents calligraphic scripts and uses colorful patterns that suggest saturation, complexity, harmony, and the ineffability of language. Working across painting, screenprinting, and installation, Lin also collaborates with other artists and photographers in creating hybrid works. Recent solo exhibitions include Last Words, Park Life, San Francisco (2012); One of Us, the Print Center, Philadelphia (2010); and A Place Near Here, Fleisher/Ollman (2010). Recent group exhibitions include Arts Le Havre 2012 Contemporary Art Biennial (2012); Portrait of a Generation, The Hole, New York (2012); Here and Now, Philadelphia Museum of Art (2011); and Broad Shoulders and Brotherly Love, Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago (2009).
