  • This painting is one in an evolving series of unique “Shred” variations where the imagery of shredded street posters are distilled to essential formal elements and juxtaposed on hand screened images. In this particular case, the stone temple wall of the Imperial Palace in downtown Seoul. My wife is Korean and this was my gesture to her heritage and a fusion of our individual environments. There are many layers of paint application and the final layer of detail is applied with a pneumatic syringe to achieve textural relief.
