Jenny Källman

The subjects of Jenny Källman’s photographs are almost entirely young women, navigating their surroundings with innocent curiosity, simultaneously subjecting themselves to the power structures that shape adult relationships. Straddling the boundary between documentary and staged photography, Källman’s photographs have a cinematic quality, operating as still images from an imaginary film wherein the characters are together in their isolation.

Källman studied at Konstfack, Stockholm and the School of Photography in Gothenburg. In recent years Jenny has exhibited at the Swedish Institute in Paris, David Risley Gallery in Copenhagen, Falkenberg Museum, Market, Zoo Art Fair, Art Rotterdam and Art Los Angeles
Contemporary.
