About The Work
Jeremy Deller’s multi-faceted practice incorporates forms of social investigation and archival research, often celebrating British popular and vernacular culture. Documenting various elements of modern society as well as cultural motif and natural phenomenon, Deller’s work “questions official histories.” This portfolio of five six-color silkscreen prints contains images from various film and installation projects of Deller’s including an owl from English Magic (2013), a group of bats against the sunset from Exodus (2012), and the live re-enactment of riot police clashing with striking mineworkers in The Battle of Orgreave (2001).
