About The Work
Late in his life, the abstract sculptor John Chamberlain began experimenting with digital photography. Using Photoshop, Chamberlain manipulated his personal archive of photos (almost) beyond recognition, though friends and family members of the artist can still be identified, as well as landmarks from cities around the world. Here, marbled patterns are evocative of the colorful chaos present in Chamberlain's famous twisted metal sculptures.
