About The Work
Experimental filmmaker Jonas Mekas has kept a film diary since 1950 when he would walk the streets of New York with a Bolex camera recording his experiences. This artist book is a virtual scrapbook of postcards, notes, drawings, and letters that friends and artists have sent him over the years. It acts as a printed and bound sequel to his filmed and written diaries.
