Juan David Laserna
From 2007 to 2008 Colombian artist Juan David Laserna became the senior producer for Alcuadrado Gallery in Bogota, and founded with artists Camilo Ordoñez and Jairo Suarez the Maski Collective. He has received a Ministry of Culture of Colombia National Creation Award (2007), Patrimony District Institute Grant (2008), Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation and Bank of the Republic Art Museum Grant- El Parqueadero Laboratory (2010). In 2008 He received the Scholarship for Outstanding Postgraduate students from the National University of Colombia and held the position of assistant faculty member from 2008 to 2010, in that same year he received the a grant for projects development and exhibition by The District Culture Institute and Santa Fe Gallery in Bogotá.
Laserna’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in institutions, museums and galleries such as the INBA Museum, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, MIAMI, Prácticas Artísticas Contemporáneas, Bogotá, The VII Regional Artists Salon, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, La Fundación Odeón, Bogotá (Colectivo Maski), Material Art Fair, Mexico, Galeria Carne, EAC, Montevideo, ArteBa, International Art Fair, Buenos Aires, Galeria Carne, 1st International Contemporary Art Biennial of Cartagena, CO, LA Galería, Bogotá, (Colectivo Maski), and the la ENE Museum, Buenos Aires.
