Kate Neckel

Kate Neckel is an artist and illustrator. She has created drawings for books, magazines, bands, billboards and has her own line of bedding and home goods for Italian brand Bassetti. Her drawings were featured in VogueVanity FairInStyleLuckyO, The Oprah Magazine and Fast Company for Cole Haan’s Makers campaign. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and she has drawn on the walls in private residences, Hudson Studios, Chelsea Day School and the Ace Hotel NYC. She is also the author of Start Now! The Creativity Journal. From a fortuitous stint in Paris where she found herself in Karl Lagerfeld’s studio, to assisting David Byrne and documenting the beginnings of Zac Posen’s career, she has consciously carved out her own unique path. The New York Times wrote of the artist, "Kate Neckel has never been bound by the traditional confines of canvas and paper." 


Neckel holds an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from School of Visual Arts. After 17 years in NYC, Kate currently lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
