Leandro Katz

Leandro Katz is a visual artist and writer known for his films and his photographic installations. His works include long-term projects engaged with Latin American subject matter, incorporating historical research, anthropology and visual arts.


Leandro Katz has numerous books and artists’ books, as well as seventeen narrative and non- narrative films. Recent exhibitions have been presented at Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, Natural History, Proa, Buenos Aires, Gwangju Biennale, Korea, (2010), and Fundación Telefónica, Buenos Aires, (2013). Katz has received support from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, USA, and the Hubert Bals Fund, Holland, among many others.
