Lena von Gödeke

Lena von Gödeke creates her visual vocabulary from a collection of scientific and digital sources of inspiration. Consciously, she decides against a uniform style, specific technique or certain medium, but rather experiments with a range of contemporary artistic and technical possibilities. Her work can be understood as a search for artistic expressions of scientific knowledge—to make aesthetically and intuitively understandable the processes of our environment and life-reality. On the basis of collected data and existing information, her creative process develops with the involvement of material and form. von Gödeke generates new and different visions and thus, once again comparable to the sciences, creates a basis for gaining and increasing knowledge.

Lena von Gödeke’s work has been shown in a number of solo and group exhibitions including Kunstverein Bochum, Städtische Galerie Altena, Evelyn Drewes Galerie, Berlin, Kunstverein Greven, Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, and Märkisches Museum Witten, among others.
