Liane Lang

Liane Lang’s work takes the form of photography, film and installation and often engages in visual and conceptual interruptions to existing historic monuments and interiors. After completing a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College she joined our postgraduate program at the RA Schools, graduating in 2006. Since then, she has gone on to exhibit widely both at home and abroad and undertaken numerous residencies. Notably, she created the series Monumental Misconceptions during her residency at Memento Sculpture Park in Budapest.


Recent exhibitions include a two person show at Art First Projects, House Guests a solo exhibition of a major new installation at WW Gallery and Afternoon Tea at the the Venice Biennale. 2011 also saw the installation of a permanent public commission for Croydon Council. Lang’s work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Arts Council Collection, and the Saatchi Collection.
