Malekeh Nayiny

Malekeh Nayiny was born in Teheran, Iran. She obtained a B.A. in fine arts and photography from Syracuse University in 1978 followed by advanced photography at International Center of Photography in New York, 1980-1982. Her first work was a series of color photograms that were exhibited in the U.S and France, including the Pacific Asia Museum, Los Angeles (USA, 1984), and Projections au Palais de Tokyo, Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (France, 1989). She has participated in numerous international group and solo exhibitions, including Leighton House Museum, London (England, 2000), Photo ESPAÑA (Iran Recorridos Curzados) Madrid (Spain, 2001), Centre de Cultura Contemporânia de Barcelona (Spain, 2003, 2004), Museum d'Histoire Naturelle Lyon (France, 2003), British Museum, London (England, 2006), L’Espace Louis Vuitton Paris (France, 2008), XVA Gallery Dubai (U.A.E., 2009, 2010), Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai (India, 2011). Louis Vuitton Malletier, Smithsonian Institution, British Museum, Los Angeles county Museum of Art, Fondation Coff, Fnac, Musée Niepce, Chalon-sur-Soan, and Coca Cola Corporation all have her work as part of their Collections. She lives and works in Paris, France.
