    The work of Canadian artist Mark DeLong is a continued examination of Modernist inspired motifs and techniques, incorporating an energetic array of color and texture. Initially perceived as abstraction, the narratives of his multi-layered compositions are dictated by mysterious and offbeat titles, like this piece, Pat Rivers . A series of intersecting geometric motifs are depicted in this bright work, characteristic of DeLong’s “careful consideration for color relationships, movement and rhythm.”
