    About The Work

Mauro Giaconi’s drawings begin as representational sketches of architecture, seemingly post-detonation. Abstracted through the erasure and smudging of graphite, his murals and works on paper emphasize the instability of buildings freed from gravity. This triptych, a unique work, offers three scenes that juxtapose uniform straight lines–perhaps walls and floors–with gestural streaks of violent disruption.
