    About Nayland Blake

    From The Magazine

    • Nayland Blake’s The Little One is a black porcelain doll dressed in a white bunny suit. Rabbit imagery first appeared in Blake’s work in 1991 and has become the most prominent motif in the artist’s oeuvre, serving to address issues of race, sexuality, and gender by conjuring rabbits’ association with promiscuity while evoking the tales of Br’er Rabbit and the antics of Bugs Bunny.
