    About The Work

Nick Peña's current body of work deals with the change in the American landscape and the American dream. Peña paints finely rendered landscapes and combines this with vivid abstract elements to convey a narrative about the idealistic pursuit of happiness and America's place within that pursuit. Over these paintings, Peña lays the industrial material, Sintra board (flattened PVC), to create windows into the "soil" of the paintings.
