Digital prankster Parker Ito is known for recycling and reinventing an evolving arsenal of tropes for his vast output of paintings, videos, GIFs, photographs, and web pages. This self-portrait, perhaps one of his many alter egos, combines his favorite subjects in a single work–rainbow roses, chains, beach culture, a red baseball cap, paintbrushes, parrots, owls, decorated vases, a loafer superimposed with the image of a face, armor and swords. The artist has also translated this image into other forms such as a GIF and a line drawing.
