Peter Aurisch

At the forefront of Europe’s 21st century wave of non-traditional tattoo design, Peter Aurish creates original artworks that often combine bold line work and twisted human forms inspired by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele, with dynamic geometry influenced by Pablo Picasso’s Cubism. His distinctive style of black ink sketches are punctuated with bright colors that appear to be brushed on. He compacts his favorite subjects—human figures, townscapes, still lifes, animals, and nature—into twisted scenes full of intensity.

Tattooing in Berlin since 2011, Peter Aurisch owns a tattoo parlor called Nevada Johnny, where he works with Jessica Mach and rotating guests. His art has been featured in exhibitions at WILD WOOD Gallery in Kassel, Berlin’s BOX 32, and AKA London.
