    About The Work

This Richard Estes poster was created on the occasion of his exhibition, "Richard Estes, A Decade: 1973-83", at the Allan Stone Gallery in 1983. Richard Estes hand signed this work for the present owner during a private talk he gave with renowned curator Patterson Sims, "On Painting Realism: Richard Estes and Patterson Sims," on March 11, 2015 at the Museum of Arts and Design on the occasion of Estes' solo exhibition at the museum. This was a rare appearance by the elusive Estes, who is over 80 years old and does not live in Manhattan. The work is in very good condition (other than gentle handling when the artist signed the print) and has never been framed.
