About The Work
Ridge McLeod makes abstract paintings depicting colorful interpretations of feelings. Being a self-taught artist, the processes of experimentation, specifically the trial and error, has developed his own unique style of art. After experimenting with various mediums, he found his tools of choice to be ones that were portable. Tearing down the barrier of needing a “studio” and opening up the world to be his playground. By focusing on work that uses accessible tools it allows art to be created practically anywhere. Primarily his work is on paper – providing an unforgiving surface. This makes mistakes inevitable. It is those mistakes that give each piece its character.
