Roamcouch

With roots as a graphic designer, artist Ryo Ogaya's (aka: Roamcouch) work is characterized by whimsical, photorealistic images of cityscapes, colored and enhanced to portray dreamlike, fantasy alternatives to reality. Working in stencil and spraypaint, Roamcouch's process is extremely labor intenisive—it sometimes takes him over a year to produce an image. Creating each layer of stencil by hand, each piece contains nearly 50 layers. This painstaking process is necessary for the artist to achieve his desired depth, color, and realism.

Roamchouch has shown his work in many countries worldwide such as Norway, Japan and the United States.
