Ross Craig

Ross Craig is a Berkeley, California based photographer and furniture maker. His interest in photography and in craftsmanship came from his father, who worked in motion picture photography and built much of his own equipment.

Beginning with street photography, Ross has gone on to other subjects including a series of black and white photos of flowers using a vintage cinema lens; tools of the watchmaker's trade; a whimsical study of potholes; and a large project documenting baseball fields in city parks.

His current still life work was inspired by the wonderful tradition of still life painting he saw in European museums on recent trips, adding his personal sense of juxtaposition and social commentary.
