Sarah Kurz Gallery Art

Allegra LaViola, New York NY

Working in oil paint on small canvases, Sarah Kurz creates intimate portraits of women. However, these women are not iconic movie stars whose faces we see on billboards and in magazines. They are normal, unphotoshopped beauties who radiate warmth, enhanced by Kurz's muted color palette, photorealistic style, and soft lighting. Whether tangled in sheets or casting a sultry glance over their shoulders, Kurz's women invite the viewer to think about what we consider beautiful. Kurz has exhibited at the Allegra LaViola Gallery, New York.
