Serena Vestrucci

Italian artist Serena Vertrucci uses a variety of media to make works that don’t “stem from any one thing in particular”. She has a laid back, but inquisitive approach to her work, which she feels, has it’s own determination. Though her artistic practice takes many forms, one series of works in particular involved the use of makeup to make make paintings of the sky on canvas.

Vertrucci is the 2016 winner of the ArtLine Milano public art competition, and the recipient of the ArtVerona prize. She has participated in numerous residencies, including Penthouse Art Space in Brussels. She’s had solo exhibitions at Galleria FuoriCampo in Siena, La Fenice Gallery in Venice, the Contemporary Art Museum Villa Croce in Genoa, and Hotel Locarno in Rome.
