    About The Work

A series of drawings and sculptures which encapsulate the theme of gender union, inspired by traditional weddings in the small village of Irpinia (South Italy), Calitri. Traditionally, the guests cover the newlyweds with streamers during their first dance. The couple is enveloped by a cocoon of color- a chrysalis in which intimacy begins to shape their union. In this moment of intimate, symbolic union, the presence of two individuals is lastly recognizable only by two sets of bare feet.
