Theresa Bloise

Theresa Bloise makes metaphysical paintings of human discards and ephemera. She finds her visual material anywhere and everywhere; from scraps of glass and plastic on the side walk to space junk floating out around the earth. She synthesizes these subjects into compositions with contradicting scale and spacial relationships.

Her work has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, PS122 Gallery, Smack Mellon, Kentler International Drawing Space, International Print Center New York among others. She was a New York Foundation for the Arts Painting Fellow in 2010.
