Cameron Martin

Martin has had numerous solo exhibitions, including: Abstracts, at the University Art Museum at SUNY Albany (2017); Galerie Nikolaus Ruzicka, Salzburg, Austria (2016); Bracket, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery, New York, NY (2011); Gallery Min Min in Tokyo (2008); Currents 97: Cameron Martin, at the St Louis Art Museum, St Louis, MO (2006). His work has been in many group exhibitions, including: Mythos Berg, RLB Kunstbrücke, Innsbruck, Austria (2011); roundabout, City Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand, which travelled to the Tel Aviv Museum, Tel Aviv, Israel (2010);In Monet’s Garden, Columbus Museum or Art, OH, which travelled to the Musée Marmottan, Paris (2007); and the Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (2004).


Martin has received awards including the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship (2010), the Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship (2008), and the Artists at Giverny Fellowship and Residency in Giverny, France (2001). His work is in several museum collections, including the Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, NY; Minneapolis Institute of Art, MN; Saint Louis Art Museum, MO; and The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY. 


Martin is Co-Chair of the Painting Department at the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College.
