About The Work

From the late 1960’s to the 1980’s, iconic Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí produced a series of editioned glass sculptures with Daum Crystal in France. The innovative glassmaking company, influential during the rise of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, commissioned well-known artists, sculptors and designers to create editions. In this work, Dali recreated one of his most iconic motifs—the melting clock.
